Camping Zonnehoek

We were charged 19 eur to park our van next to the parking lot and the main road, although we saw free spots on the campgrounds (told it was full). No toilet paper in bathrooms, have to pay extra for showers, the coffee is expensive and bad powder. The area is great but the experience can quite be disappointing, we should have parked in a public parking lot instead.

The location is reasonable if you can tolerate the noise of airplanes flying over for a long time, and you don't mind showering in dirty old buildings, and you don't get in the way of the campsite residents (read) They are allowed to talk about your rented property at any time. walk to town. Rules at the campsite are very contradictory. Dogs must be on a leash, but not for permanent guests. (It was tolerated) cats also had to be on a leash, but not for permanent residents. In short, there is still a lot that can be improved. I left after my animals were threatened. Wanted to report it, but the owners don't want anything to do with the police, which I personally find strange. It no longer felt safe for my animals, even though a number of people stood up for me because it was unjustified. Have now been reported to the police.

Camping was very disappointing. 2 blocks for the sanitary facilities. First block (see photos) disastrous. Not really used anymore (I think) Second block a lot better but already in need of maintenance. Tiles in front of it are all jagged and crooked. Very nice if you go to the toilet at night. Chemical toilet dump certainly needs improvement. It is also located right next to the tractor field. Part of the campsite is filled with permanent pitches. Looks awful!
